Commissioner Olga Noriega was elected to the Weslaco City Council, representing District 3, in 2011, and re-elected in 2014. Since joining the City Commission, Olga has had the privilege of serving as mayor pro tem for two consecutive years.
Olga was raised and educated in Weslaco, where she has lived most of her life. She earned a Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) degree in Technology Management, from South Texas College. Currently, she is the Purchasing Agent for the Donna Independent School District. Olga and her husband Rolando have two grown daughters, Grace and Renee, 1 granddaughter and 2 grandsons and their beloved fur baby Belle.
Olga believes that citizen participation is the driver of solutions for our city. She also believes Public Safety, Crime Prevention, and Emergency Police response are high priorities for city services.
Her current three-year term begins in November 2014 and ends November 2017.
