Congratulations to all the readers who participated in our summer reading program organized by the Mayor Joe V. Sanchez Public Library of Weslaco.
This year, we had 320 children participants who read over 11,000 books.
We also had an adult summer reading program, which included not only reading materials but programs such as adult yoga and health and wellness classes. The city of Weslaco had 529 people participate in our adult summer reading events.
At the conclusion of the program, we celebrated at Peter Piper Pizza in Weslaco with books, arts and crafts, and pizza!
