It was our pleasure to welcome Rio Bravo to Weslaco!

It was a historical day on Tuesday as we officially became sister cities with our neighboring city of Rio Bravo, Tamps, Mexico. 

This sister city agreement encourages cooperation between the two municipalities, international goodwill and mutual understanding as well as the exchange of ideas and information in a wide variety of economic, social, cultural, professional, technical and other endeavors. 

The city of Rio Bravo includes our neighbors to the south, Nuevo Progreso, and adjacent communities. We look forward to welcoming Rio Bravo visitors to Weslaco in the years to come!
