PETE GARCIA JR.
DIRECTOR

Mr. Pete Garcia Jr. is a Weslaco native and graduate of Weslaco High School and the University of Texas-American. He is a current member of the APWA, TPWA, TFMA, and TRAPS. Mr. Garcia has extensive experience in the public sector, he worked for the Texas Department of Human Services for five years, was Parks & Recreation Director for twenty-two consecutive years, worked for Hidalgo County Precinct 1 for three years, and for Weslaco ISD for about two years. Mr. Garcia has been the Public Works Director since May 2015.
