City of Weslaco proclaims the month of April 2023 as Donate Life Month. This observance promotes a greater understanding about the life saving and healing benefits of donation and transplantation that saves thousands of lives every year.

One organ donor can save 8 lives and one tissue donor can restore health to over 75 others.

We especially want to recognize the Valdez family as their daughter went on to save lives to organ donation and give the gift of sight to 2 individuals through corneal donation. We celebrate the generosity of those who have saved lives in this manner.

Support this vital effort by registering as an organ and tissue donor, make your family aware of your wishes, and be willing to give the precious gift of health, science, and life to people in need.
