The Wildland Team is composed of 15 members who are trained to specialize in wildland fires, routinely conduct operations with US Fish and Wildlife Services and The Texas Forest Service. The team is active during fire season deploying to missions all over the state of Texas through the department’s active participation in the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS).
