Weslaco Ambus Responds to Edinburg Warehouse Fire

Weslaco Fire Department Ambus was at location for medical and firefighter rehab at an Edinburg skating rink after a nearby warehouse caught fire. It started in the 1000 block of North Closner a little after 6pm Thursday June 15, 2023.

The skating rink that is located next to the warehouse had to be evacuated. According to Edinburg Interim Fire Chief Uvaldo Perez, 20 people were evacuated.

Municipalities arrived at the scene to provide mutual assistance.
