On Saturday, March 9th, the Weslaco Fire Department organized a volunteer training and smoke alarm installation event. Now in its 8th year, the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign remains committed to providing FREE smoke alarms to Weslaco residents.

Captain Richard Stubbs spearheaded the volunteer training session on smoke alarm installation, with complimentary installations offered in Weslaco households thereafter. The program's objective is to decrease home fire injuries and fatalities by 25%.
